Have You Received a Flu Vaccine?

We are already seeing influenza cases in 2020. Influenza can cause serious infectious disease and is responsible for tens of thousands of deaths annually in the United States. Pregnant women, young children, elderly and those with asthma or chronic lung disease, heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease, overweight/obesity, or immune suppression are at highest risk of influenza complications and mortality.

The flu vaccine is recommended for all patients age 6 months or older.

The following flu vaccines are currently being offered at our office to both patients and non-patients:

Fluzone: Recommended for ages 6 months – 49 years.

Flublok: Recommended for ages  50 – 64 years or adults with high risk factors. This vaccine is egg-free and safe for patients with known egg allergies.

Fluzone High Dose: Recommended for ages 65 years and older.

All flu vaccines carried at our office are preservative-free, quadrivalent vaccines – meaning they cover against 4 unique influenza strains, whereas prior vaccines only covered 3 strains per season.

For additional Flu Vaccine FAQs, visit the CDC Resource Guide for the 2020-2021 season here.

Flu vaccines are included in LifeScape's Concierge Care program and to SimpleCare Direct patients.  Any other community members can receive a flu vaccine from our office at the following cash prices: Fluzone $40, Flublok $60 and Fluzone High Dose $70.

We're currently offering flu vaccines in-office on Tuesdays from 8am – 11am & 2pm – 3:30pm as well as on Thursdays from 9am – 11am & 2pm – 3:30pm.

LifeScape is here to serve you and your loved ones throughout this pandemic. Please reach out with any questions or concerns, or visit our COVID-19 Resources & Support offerings here.
