This month, Dana earned the highly coveted ADAPT certification from the Kresser Institute.

Dana’s journey of resilience and dedication

Dana’s journey towards this certification is a testament to her unwavering commitment to excellence in the field of integrative and functional nutrition.

She embarked on this rigorous year-long course in 2021, a year that was marked with exceptional challenges.

“Despite facing personal trials, including the loss of my beloved dog Bodhi, the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic, and my own diagnosis of breast cancer,” Dana shared, “I’m incredibly proud to announce that I’ve passed my final credentialing exam and am now an ADAPT Certified Functional Medicine Provider from the Kresser Institute. What a journey!”

Dana is a beacon of perseverance, resilience and determination. Her unwavering commitment to serve, enlighten and elevate others through nutrition is truly inspiring.

What an ADAPT certification means for patients

The ADAPT certification is no ordinary credential. It is awarded by the Kresser Institute, a leading organization in the field of functional medicine, and signifies a practitioner’s advanced knowledge and skills in treating chronic disease and promoting optimal health.

This certification marks a high level of understanding of the core principals of functional medicine and is primarily sought after by physicians, chiropractors, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and some dietitians, making Dana’s accomplishment all the more noteworthy.

Dana's advanced skills reflect her extensive dedication and higher-level studies. Her training provides the ability to work from a "beginner's mind," with her eyes wide open to the many factors that may be influencing a patients current condition. Her deep curiosity and dedication to fully understanding each patient's unique situation provides her a unique vantage point.

Specialized testing, personalized and unique nutrition plans, and informed referrals to specialists influence her approach to care and help ensure her patients receive every opportunity to truly thrive at a higher level of being.

“With Dana’s attention to detail, deeper level of questioning and recommended advanced testing, we’ve been able to identify a variety of root causes to a number of uncomfortable symptoms. She has helped me to finally find relief from headaches, inflammation, rosacea, and long-time digestive issues. I am so incredibly grateful for the opportunity to partner with her on my health journey - for her kindness, patient and deep expertise - and to now reap the benefits of a balanced and resilient gut!”

Transformational Health through the Kresser Method

Dana's ADAPT certification further equips her with the tools needed to help patients overcome their conditions and achieve true transformational health. By utilizing the Kresser method and drawing on his clinical experience and expertise, she can effectively treat patients based on an in-depth understanding of their health. This approach allows her to see the interconnectedness of gut health and overall well-being, addressing not just diet plans, but also the underlying factors preventing goal achievement.

Furthermore, this method removes much of the guesswork often present when determining effective plans for health goals. Investigative labs help understand thyroid, cardiovascular, and nutrient factors influencing outcomes.

Addressing these factors properly first can reduce the risks and costs of unnecessary, ineffective medications.

Dana Bosselmann’s professional journey

Dana's professional journey is marked by her extensive education and training. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition Science and a Master's degree in Exercise Physiology, and she is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN). Additionally, she is certified through the Integrative and Functional Nutrition Academy as an Integrative and Functional Nutrition Certified Provider (IFNCP). Dana’s latest achievement as an ADAPT-certified functional medicine provider adds another distinguished accolade to her already impressive list of credentials.

Please join us in congratulating Dana on her remarkable accomplishment. Her dedication and expertise are invaluable to the Lifescape community, and we are proud to have her on our team.
